Upcoming February Events and More!

ISBC Student Ministry has many opportunities for you to get plugging in and involved.  So mark your calendars and join us!

 

JANUARY/ FEBRUARY EVENTS:

JAN. 28th Nicaragua Mission Trip Meeting – 4:30PM in the Student Center HRC. Come and find out details about the Student Mission Trip to Nicaragua which is open to rising Juniors through college.

FEB. 4th SUPERBOWL PARTY @ 6 PM in the Student Center HRC – We will broadcast the game on the big screen in the Student Center.  Food (hotdogs, hamburgers, chips, desserts) and drinks will be provided.  There will be an evangelistic message during Half-time, so bring a friend!
FEB. 11th KICKOFF OF PARENT BIBLE STUDY & PLANNING MTGS – If all we have is the Bible, how would we do children, youth and family ministry at ISBC? Parents of preK to college children will meet with Pastor Todd at 6 pm each Sunday for seven weeks in the CLC to examine scriptures from the Old and New Testament. Feedback from these Bible study sessions will be used to create our core values for children, youth, and family which we will share with families during the final session. Come join us to discuss how we can be intentional in why we do what we do for families and kids of all ages.
FEB. 17th SNOW TUBING @ HAWK’S NEST – Cost is $35 plus money for snacks/meal.  Full payment is required by 2/7 to reserve your spot!  This event is open to ALL middle/High school students and their families.  Please note, middle school students must have a parent/guardian attend or participate with them.  Van space is limited to the first 13 High School students. Participating families will caravan with us to Hawk’s Nest.  We will meet at the Student Center at 1:30 pm and promptly depart at 1:45 pm.  Our estimated time of return will be 8:45 pm. Several forms will need to be filled out before you and/or your student may attend. See Todd or Kevin for details.
FEB. 22-25 IMPACT WEEKEND – Cost is $35.  Deadline to register is 2/4/18. Students will be divided up into groups and stay at host homes for the weekend.  Each day, students will be transported to Tri-Cities Baptist Church in Gray for worship, Bible Study and various activities.  All meals will be provided, but bring some extra money if you want snacks from the concession areas.  For Thursday night worship, we will meet at Tri-Cities Baptist Church at 5:30 pm and be ready for pick up around 9:15 pm.  We will meet at the church at 4:45 pm on Friday and depart promptly at 5:15 pm.  Students will return Sunday morning at ISBC for Sunday School and the 11 am worship service. A detailed schedule/info sheet will be available at the Student Center on/after February 4th.

OTHER EVENTS (more information coming soon):

APRIL 27-29 Student Leadership Retreat @ Doe River Gorge Est. Cost $85 per person

JUNE 23-30 High School Student Mission Trip to Nashville, TN. Trip will be open to all High School Students! More information about the mission trip will be given in early February. Est. cost: $450 per student.

(Attendance Scholarship: any high school student who attends at least 2 Sunday schools, 2 worship services, and 3 evening youth group meetings (i.e. 3 Sunday nights, 3 Wednesday nights, or combination of Sunday and Wednesday nights) each month between February and May will receive a 40% discount)

JUNE 18th, JULY 2nd, 6th & 15th Middle School Mission Trip Projects

July 20th, Middle School Trip to Pidgeon Forge/Gatlinburg Est. Cost: $85

(Attendance Scholarship: any middle school student attending at least half the Mission Projects will receive a 100% scholarship)

JULY 8-15 Mission Trip to Nicaragua (for rising Juniors and Seniors)

AUGUST 25 Lake Day (for all students)
